Jason Richardson Retires

After a long 13 year NBA career Jason Richardson decides to retire and hang up his sneaks. Jason Richardson played for 5 teams Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets, Phoneix Suns, Orlando Magic, and his final destination the Philadelphia 76ers. Jason Richardson started his NBA career when he was selected with the 5th pick by the Golden State Wariors in 2001. Richardson was a 6-6 shooting guard coming out of Michigan State University. Jason Richardson first debuted in the NBA on October 31, 2001. The fans quickly fell in love with Jason Richardson's game esepcially with his high flying dunking ability.

Jason Richardson's high flying dunking ability won him the slam dunk contest in 2002 & 2003.
Jason Richardson knew how to put on a show for the fans. Even though Jason Richardson never made an all-star team he still was a phenomenal player. He just was in the wrong postion where alot of guys could score at the shooting guard postion which made him get overlooked for All-Star team spot.  Let's not forget he was in the West for majority of his career where a man name Kobe Bryant played and Jason Richardson clearly wasn't beating him out for an All-Star team spot. Also he had to beat out a healthy Tracy McGrady and that was not going to happen because Tracy McGrady was unstoppable when he was healthy. Jason Richardson made the playoffs for 4 times in his career unfortunately  he never won a NBA championship.

In Jason Richardson's 13 year he averaged 17.1 PPG (points per game), 5 RPG (rebounds per game), 2.7 APG (assists per game), and 1.2 SPG (steals per game). Jason Richardson was able to score 14,644 points in his career. Jason also was able to get 995 career steals, 4245 career rebounds, and 367 career blocks. He will forever be remembered in the NBA from his flashy dunks he use to do on fast breaks and in the NBA slam dunk contest. He will especially be remembered by the Golden State Warriors he gave them something to cheer about.

NFL Regular Season Returns

The NFL season kicks off tonight at 8:30 PM. The first game of the NFL regular season will be against the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. the New England Patriots. Football fans have been waiting for the regular season football to come back since mid March. Now the wait is over and NFL football season is finally back. The NFL picked the right two teams to kickoff the NFL regular season.

Both of these teams dislike each other very strongly. This should be a great game to watch especially with Brady 4 game suspension getting overturned in court so you know he will be playing with a chip on his shoulder. Especially with him saying, "You know what my favorite ring is the next one". That just added fuel to the fire for this game. Also football fans will get too see how the Patriots corner backs look like with the loss of Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner. The Patriots corner backs now put all their faith on Malcolm Butler who picked off Russell Wilson in the end zone to help the New England Patriots win the Superbowl last February.

Malcolm Butler will have a tough match up tonight covering one of the top wide receivers in the game in Antonio Brown.  I'm sure Ben Roethlisberger will test that match up a lot in the game. Especially with his star running back Le'Veon Bell suspended for the first 2 games due to being arrested on charges of marijuana possession. Also his other deep threat wide receiver Martavis Bryant is also suspended for the first 4 games due to violating the league's substance abuse policy. Tom Brady will also have to adjust without playing without his second favorite target Brandon Lafell since he has foot problems and will be out for the first 6 games. Also Julian Edelman is a game time decision tonight so all Tom Brady really has is Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola.

Judge Overturns Tom Brady's 4 Game Suspension

Back in May NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady for 4 games. Roger Goodell felt that Tom Brady was in connection with the footballs being deflated in the AFC Championship this past January against the Indianapolis Colts. Of course Tom Brady and the New England Patriots front office was not in favor and appealed Roger Goodell 4 game suspension.  Tom Brady continuously said he had nothing to do with deflategate scandal. However, we all know quarterbacks are usually the first one to get the feel of the balls before the game. Tom Brady definitely knew something was different about the football but still chose not to say anything.

Next red flag that should of went up to this judge that overturned Tom Brady 4 game suspension was Tom Brady destroyed his phone. Brady destroyed his phone when he was suppose to meet with Ted Wells an attorney hired by the NFL to investigate the deflategate case. No one in their right mind destroys their phone unless they have something to hide. Clearly Tom Brady felt guilty about something or he wouldn't have destroyed the phone especially knowing that Ted Wells wanted to see that phone to go through Brady's text messages to see if any foul play went on. But we will never know what went on since Tom Brady destroyed his phone.

Judge Berman overturned Tom Brady's 4 game suspension which makes him eligible to play Week 1 of the regular season against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Judge Berman reason for overturning Tom Brady's suspension was no player should be penalized for being generally aware. Also he said, " That the NFL had no evidence that Brady had anything to do with the deflategate scandal". This was a big win for the National Football League Players Association. But, Roger Goodell quickly said he will appeal the decision made by Judge Berman so we will see what happens next.
