Can Dez Bryant be a good fit in Cleveland?
Dez Bryant was released by the Dallas Cowboys this past April.
Surprisingly, Dez is still without a job. He turned down a three year $21 million deal from the Baltimore Ravens.
Now there is a mutual interest between the Cleveland Browns and Dez Bryant.
Dez Bryant met the Cleveland Browns this past Thursday, but no deal was reached.
After the Browns trading Corey Coleman to the Buffalo Bills, and Josh Gordon still dealing with his personal problems. You would think the Browns needed a wide receiver ASAP, but with the emergence of rookie receiver Antonio Callaway, do they really need Dez Bryant?
Dez isn’t what he use to be, but he still can make big plays for the Browns offense. The real problem is can he fit in with the new culture Browns are creating positive energy and hard work no days off unless your leg is falling off as Jarvis Landry said on Hard Knocks.
Dez fits the hard work no days off description, but the positive energy is another story. We have seen his tirades on the sideline in Dallas when he doesn’t get his way. Does John Dorsey, Hue Jackson, Todd Haley really want to deal with that?
If this deal happens the Browns will have one of the best wide receiver cores in the league.
Maybe Jarvis Landry can keep Dez leveled headed, but only time will tell.
