Steph Curry Struggles in Game 2

Steph Curry had a rare bad shooting game last night against the Cleveland Cavaliers. With Kyrie Irving out for the rest of the  NBA finals with a fractured kneecap everyone expected Steph Curry to really take over this series. But, that was not the case yesterday instead it was Klay Thompson who stepped up last night and finished with 34 points shooting 14 for 28 from the field. Klay Thompson got any shot he wanted when Matthew Dellavedova was guarding or basically whoever was guarding him Klay couldn't be stopped. However Matthew Dellavedova slowed down Steph Curry.

Steph Curry has been going up against some pretty good point guards such as Mike Conley, and Jrue Holiday who are way better then Dellavedova offensively and defensively and he still was able to get any shot he wanted and would put a lot of points every game. So it is very shocking that Steph Curry is getting shutdown by a role player who is not even a top 25 point guard in the NBA. But, you know what they say if one man goes down the next man has to step up and Dellavedova made that example true. This is the second time he had to start at point guard due to Kyrie Irving injuries. Delllavedova has made his presence known throughout the playoffs and last night was no difference.

Even though Matthew Dellavedova could not make up for the loss of Kyrie Irving scoring he made up for it on the defensive end. Dellavedova held Curry to just 19 points even with added time due to overtime. Steph Curry shot 5 for 23 from the field due to lock down defense from Matthew Dellavedova. Curry was only able to make 2 of his 15 threes he had shot. Steph Curry must shoot better in game 3 if the Golden State Warriors want to steal a win in Cleveland on Tuesday.
