NBA Finals Preview

Tonight is game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. the Golden State Warriors. Game 1 will start off at Oracle Arena  tonight at 9 PM Eastern time and 6 PM Western time. We will finally get to see the match up we have been waiting for Steph Curry vs. LeBron James. We will see which MVP can lead their team to win an NBA Championship. This is the the first time the Golden State Warriors have been to the NBA Finals since 1975 where they beat the Washington Bullets 4-0. The Cleveland Cavaliers haven't been to the finals since 2007 where they got swept by the San Antonio Spurs.

The match up should be intriguing two Akron, Ohio natives going at it for a championship ring. Steph Curry is trying to add to his amazing MVP season by finishing it off with a ring. LeBron is trying to win his third championship ring and live up to his promise in bringing a championship back to Cleveland. Both star players have a good supporting cast on their team. Steph Curry has his splash brother teammate Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Harrison Andre Iguodala, Leanardo Barbosa, Festus Ezeli, and Andrew Bogut. LeBron James has Kyrie Irving, JR Smith, Iman Shumpert, Tristan Thompson, Timofey Mosgov and Matthew Dellavedova.

Now we know LeBron and Steph will come to play but, the key to both teams winning is health. For the Cavs to win they need Kyrie Irving to be healthy because he will have to help LeBron James with the scoring load as well as guarding either Steph Curry or Klay Thompson so I hope that week rest helped heal his knee or the Cavs will be in trouble. For the Warriors Klay Thompson was cleared to play game 1 against the Cavs after having concussion like symptoms in game 6 versus the Rockets where he got kneed in the ear by Trevor Ariza and was bleeding in the ear. So that's a good sign they are going to need his shooting and defense to win this series. Also the Cavs and the Warriors need their bench to play well. If JR Smith plays like he did last series the Cavs might upset the Warriors in the NBA Finals. Also another key match up to watch is between the two hustling big men Draymond Green vs. Tristan Thompson. Whoever wins that rebounding battle will more likely help their team win an NBA championship. But I pick the Golden State Warriors to win in six games if it even goes that far.
