Super Bowl LIV Breakdown

Today we finally get to watch the Super Bowl game we have been waiting for two weeks. We get to see the Kansas City Chiefs high powered offense go against the San Fransisco 49ers stifling defense.

Kansas City Chiefs offense has averaged 43 points per game in the playoffs. San Fransisco 49ers defense has only given up 15 points per game in the playoffs. This will be a very interesting game with the top offense versus the top defense.

Kansas City Chiefs

For the Kansas City Chiefs to win the game, they must force Jimmy Garoppolo to win the 49ers the game. For that to happen Patrick Mahomes and the high powered offense must do what they do best put up points fast. Mahomes must test the 49ers secondary by throwing the deep ball to Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, or Sammy Watkins. The Kansas City Chiefs defense must stop what the 49ers do best running the ball. If the Chiefs defense can stop the running game from Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman, they should be in a great position to win Super Bowl LIV. They can't let Mostert have another monster game as he did in the NFC Championship game against the Green Bay Packers where he rushed for 220 yards and four touchdowns.  The San Fransisco 49ers have averaged 208 yards per game on the ground in the playoffs.

San Fransisco 49ers

For the San Fransisco 49ers to win the game, they must stop Patrick Mahomes and the high powered Chiefs offense. To do that, Richard Sherman must follow Tyreek Hill wherever he goes, he's the only shot they have of stopping Hill. Also, that dynamic pass rush in Dee Ford and Joey Bosa must put pressure on Mahomes and get some sacks. On offense the 49ers must do what they do best run the ball, the less Jimmy G has to throw the ball the better. Jimmy G hasn't thrown for 200 yards or more yet in the playoffs.

Prediction

My prediction for Super Bowl LIV is the Kansas City Chiefs will beat the San Fransisco 49ers 35-14.
