Duke Routs NC State in Quarterfinal of ACC Tournament

On Sports betting websites Duke was a 8.5 favorite to beat NC State. But nobody knew Duke would beat them that bad because this seemed like a good match up. Especially since on January 11th NC State handed Duke it's first loss beating them 87-75. So even though NC State was not ranked everyone knew they were no pushover and they should't be considered an easy opponent to play. Last night was a different story though NC State struggled to score against Duke. Duke beat NC State last night 77-53.

Duke had NC State number yesterday and the scoreboard showed it. What's shocking is not one player on Duke scored over 15 but they still were able to rout NC State. This shows the depth Duke has on his roster and how anyone on their team can go off at any given moment. The Duke Blue Devils are clicking at the right time in mid march the week before the NCAA Tournament starts. They're showing that their ready to go deep in the NCAA Tournament and possibly win the National Championship.

NC State guard Ralston Turner had game high with 16 points. Quinn Cook scored the most for Duke with 15 points. Tyus Jones the freshman point guard standout had 7 points to go along with 8 assists. Justice Winslow had 11 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Jahlil Okafor had 10 points and 4 rebounds. Matt Jones had 11 points. But the big bright spot was the play from Marshall Plumlee and Grayson Allen.  The reason these two players were a bright spot for Duke yesterday is because they hardly give Duke any production to say the least but last night they gave them production and then some.  Marshall Plumlee had 12 points and 3 blocks. Plumlee's average stats per game this season is 2.3 points per game,2.4 rebounds per game, and 0.3 assists per game, Grayson Allen had 11 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. Grayson Allen average stats per game this season are 4,3 points per game, 0.9 rebounds per game, and 0.5 assists per game. Duke will play Notre Dame tonight in the ACC Semifinal game at 9 PM eastern on ESPN.
